Nerds rejoice! Warner Bros. has officially titled the Batman Superman film “Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” with principal photography starting today in Detroit.

The movie obviously stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Zack Snyder directing. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane are all returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter. The film is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. As if none of you reading this blog would know all this.

JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE ANNOUNCED: WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR

First off, it's finally happening

At times it seemed like Justice League would forever be in development hell along with the likes of Lobo, Shazam!, and Wonder Woman, but last night it was finally announced/confirmed that Justice League will follow the sequel to Man of Steel tentatively called Batman vs Superman. There had been many rumors circling about that the release date of BvS was pushed back due to WB reassessing their plan for the DC Cinematic Universe. Now it seems that that was exactly the case and that a script is pretty solid and ready to film during/after BvS.

IS THE ROCK GREEN LANTERN?

You may remember a while back, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson tweeted that he was talking to Warner Bros and DC Comics about some badassery of some sort. There has been much speculation as to who he could be playing in either the Man of Steel sequel, Justice League or possibly a stand-alone film. Some have thought that he would be playing Shazam but there have been rumors that Warner Bros thought the character was too close to Superman. Others have speculated that he could be playing an older Cyborg. An interesting thought especially with the Justice League rumors swirling about.

But then the Rock Insta'd this on Instagram:
